We tend to post frequently about our neighbors here in Denver, but that’s mainly because we’re more familiar with the product and see more from them on social media. Huckleberry Roasters is no different (our neighbors on Pecos Street, and now Larimer Street as well). Part coffee, part breakfast, part roasted beans, a sprinkle of neighborly love (hey, Topo Designs) and all extremely simple, clean and eye catching. More lifestyle than product…which makes me want a bag of Blue Orchid, please.
We stumbled across one of our favorite outdoor apparel companies’ (Stio) Pinterest accounts the other day. This is Pinterest done right from a business standpoint. Sure, they highlight their product lines, and provide sneak peaks of new products. But they also have boards like “The Epic & Quiet Moments,” “Mountain Towns We Love,” and “We Like Your Style” – which highlights Stio customer’s own personal style, even if it isn’t Stio clothing. Those boards aren’t selling anything directly…they just do a great job of telling people who Stio is, and what it stands for.
Aside from the fact that their products are amazing, they share their user’s photos…often. And the photos aren’t Red Bull athletes jumping off cliffs. They’re real people doing the things you and I do on weekends. Authentic + Visual + Approachable = great content.

A gal named Rachel started this blog to celebrate photography and those who still shoot on real film. People send in amazing imagery, and she posts the best of the best. Its blogging at its best – niche, unique, compelling. And hey, if you’d like to find out who manages it and maybe check out her own portfolio, all the better. Great job, Rachel.
Sure, some people might view their content as “political” in nature, and thus, might disagree with it. But when you combine useful information (how -to items) with links to newsworthy articles, humor and the sharing of content from other like-minded groups, you’ve got a pretty special content plan. Not to mention that they back up their cause by planting 20 trees for every t-shirt they sell. Nice job fighting your fight, GASN.
